July 20, 2001 --

There are so many good memories from Supai Colleen Mckay and I told everyone we were related somehow, I believe it was half sisters.  We had everyone believing it.  That and Gino and Jim and BillyI missed the first reunion cause I didn't know but I know I won't miss the next.

Gosh, there are so many good memories, the baseball games that we never watched cause we were down on the bottom field hanging out with John and Bob Brooks, Gino Tarr, Jim Cleary and all the rest.  It was so much fun thinking we were cool to be hanging with the "in" crowd and older crowd.

The most popular guys when I was at Supai were Gino and Louie Tarr, Billy Wilson, Bob Brooks, Buzz Cooke (I believe that was his last name) and of course James Cleary.  Oh then Pablo?  All the girls liked them cause they were simply gorgeous.

I remember Billy Wilson.  When he got to Supai all the girls liked him.  I was in 5th I believe.  Anyway, I was going with him but when he asked me to French kiss in his dog house, I broke up with him because I didn't know what that was.  I also kissed Gino Tarr that year swoon my heart did flip flops then it was love with Jim Cleary and Concorde Village.

I can't believe Supai has reunions, that is so neat.  I wish I would have known about the last one but hopefully we will have another soon and I'll definitely be there.  So many memories; my first true love which I'll never forget and Colleen is supposed to email me a picture of him. This is so neat.  Hi everyone.

This site is wonderful.  My sister sent this to me telling me about the reunion.  Which by the way all the "Biringer" clan will be there.  I went and checked out the class photo of my class "1975" (lol).  My how we have changed.  I am hoping to see some people I hung around with.  One of my memories from Supai was at one of the school dances and I won a dance contest.....the prize was a John Denver album....yes an album.  WOW....was I so full of myself.  Another memory was when we use to sneak off school grounds at lunch and go across the canal and go to the little shady area called the beanery.  Things really come full circle....My daughter is now an alumni of Supai class of 1999 and she will be alumni of Coronado class of 2003...

Thanks for the memories...

April 13, 2000 -- Painters

I remember the time they were re-painting the entire school, I think it was '73 or '74.  Well these painters could not have been to bright because they took their lunch break at the same time we took ours.  So a couple of us guys were walking along after eating lunch (I won't mention names, Fred Boyd and Bill Day) and we happened upon the paint sprayer and compressor just sitting there unattended with a fresh 5-gallon bucket of paint.  Now the painters were doing a good job painting, but it was obvious that they had missed several things....like the windows.....and the bushes....and the trees... and the sidewalk...and the grass.... and pretty much anything that we could reach with the sprayer.  I think maybe a few second graders might have gotten in the way as well, I can't remember all the details.  I think the grass looked better with that nice shade of dirt-brown that they used to paint all the buildings.  I remember that we went back the next day to help them again, but for some reason, they never left that sprayer out again????

August 10, 1999 -- Pizza!

I have really enjoyed this site.  It really brings back some of my fondest memories.  Thank you so much for the walk back in time.  I was reading some of the feedback where it was asked if we remembered the pizza place at 68th St. & McDowell.  Well, they had great pizza, they relocated to Tempe under the name of "Spinatos". (Small place in an industrial park) Great place for pizza.

July22, 1999 -- Two Stupid Kids

I remember back in (I think 7th Grade), one night my brother came home to tell me that after school tomorrow, I was going to fight John Weiss.  He apparently bet John that I could "beat him up."  So the next day at school, word got around (and how fast words used to spread at Supai) that the "fight of the year" was going to take place on the top field after school.  I had many many many people come up to me and say "what in the world are you thinking?  John Weiss is the man."  I kept telling everyone that I in no way am going to do this.  Well when it finally came to the last bell ring, my heart dropped to the floor.  As I was walking up the top field, there were about 50 people there waiting to see the "fight".  As the "fight" progressed, Mr. Nate _____ showed up and my brother asked him not to interfere and he DIDN'T!  I couldn't believe it.  Anyway, anyone that was up on the top field that day may remember the outcome.  I will not say.

November 14, 1998 -- Poor Mr. Hansen; 6th Grade Misery

I remember this well;

We had just finished watching the epic "White Wilderness" (or something like that).  The film ended right before lunch.  Unbeknownst to Mr. Hansen, Aaron Nuckles had messed with the classroom door's striker plate to prevent the door from latching when closed.  Mr. Hansen didn't know the door was unsecured after locking it for the lunch break.

Aaron snuck back in the classroom during lunch and rewound the whole two hour + film into a big pile of celluloid on the floor.  I thought Mr. Hansen was gonna have a cow.  The whole class was giddy over Aaron's shenanigans.  It took Mr. Hanson hours to put the film back on the reel by hand.

Honestly, how did those teachers put up with us?
